Abstract
Bandar udara Melalan Kutai Barat (IATA: GHS, ICAO: WALE
sebelumnya WRLE) merupakan bandara yang terdapat di desa Gemuhan Asa,Kecamatan Barong Tongkok, kawasan Kabupaten Kutai Barat, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Jarak dari pusat kota kurang lebih sejauh 8 km. Bandara Melalan terletak di ketinggian 100,5 meter (330 kaki) di atas permukaan laut.
Bandar Udara Melalan Kalimantan Timur sedang merancang pengembangan. Pengembangan tersebut salah satunya adalah pembangunan gedung Operasional baru. Pembangunan ini dilakukan karena Kebutuhan akan ruangan staf dan pegawai
operasional bandara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data. Pada Term of Reference (TOR) atau kerangka acuan kerja Bandar Udara Melalan tahun 2023 terdapat perencanaan Pembangunan Gedung operasional guna menunjang kegiatan operasional maupun perawatan fasilitas-fasilitas bandar udara. Udara Melalan Kalimantan Timur dilakukan agar dapat merencanakan bagian dari setiap detail perencanaan struktur atas gedung operasional baru dengan menggunakan Sistem Rangka Pemikul Momen Menengah (SRPMM) dikarenakan Kota Sendawar adalah area yang memiliki kekuatan gempa sebesar 0.05 – 0.1 g yang memasuki zona gempa Rendah-menengah. Dalam Perencanaan ini dibantu menggunakan Software SAP 2000 yang dapat membantu merencanakan gedung tahan gempa.
Dengan hasil perencanaan ini didapatkan dimensi struktur balok induk 25 cm x 40 cm, balok anak 20 cm x 15 cm, tebal plat 11 cm, kolom 40 cm x 40 cm, dan pembangunan gedung operasional membutuhkan biaya sebesar Rp 1,215,000,000.00 (Satu miliar dua ratus lima belas juta rupiah).

It is approximately 8 km from the city center. Melalan Airport is located at an altitude of 100.5 meters (330 feet) above sea level. East Kalimantan's Melalan Airport is currently planning expansion projects, including the construction of a new operational building. This development is being
undertaken to address the need for staff and operational staff space. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection. The 2023 Terms of Reference (TOR) for Melalan Airport includes plans for the construction of an operational building to support operational activities and maintenance of airport facilities. The planning of the new Operational Building at
Melalan Airport in East Kalimantan was carried out to plan each detail of the new operational building's superstructure using the Intermediate Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMM). This is because Sendawar City is an area with an
earthquake magnitude of 0.05–0.1 g, falling within the Low-Medium earthquake zone. This planning was assisted by SAP 2000 software, which can assist in designing earthquake-resistant buildings. The resulting design resulted in the main beam structure measuring 25 cm x 40 cm, the sub-beam measuring 20 cm x 15 cm, the slab thickness measuring 11
cm, and the columns measuring 40 cm x 40 cm. The onstruction of the operational building required a cost of Rp 1,215,000,000.00 (one billion two hundred and fifteen million rupiah).
