Abstract

Bandar Udara Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali memiliki aktivitas
operasional yang tinggi sehingga memerlukan pengelolaan ground handling yang
efektif dan efisien. Penempatan Unit Load Device (ULD) yang tidak sesuai telah
menghambat operasional dan meningkatkan beban kerja personel ground handling.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penempatan ULD terhadap
beban kerja personel dan kelancaran operasional ground handling di Bandar Udara
Internasional I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali.
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian
asosiatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan
kuesioner kepada personel ground handling PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta (JAS) dan
PT Gapura Angkasa. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan
MANOVA.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penempatan ULD berpengaruh
signifikan terhadap beban kerja personel ground handling secara parsial dengan
nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 serta berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelancaran
operasional ground handling secara parsial dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05.
Secara simultan, hasil uji MANOVA juga menunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 <
0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Penempatan ULD yang tidak tertata
menyebabkan terganggunya pergerakan Ground Support Equipment (GSE),
meningkatnya koordinasi manual antar personel, dan menurunkan efisiensi
operasional. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pengawasan dan pengaturan penempatan
ULD yang lebih optimal untuk mendukung keselamatan dan kelancaran operasional
ground handling.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has a high volume of
operations, requiring effective and efficient ground handling management.
Improper placement of Unit Load Devices (ULDs) has hindered operations and
increased the workload of ground handling personnel. This study aims to determine
the effect of ULD placement on personnel workload and the smoothness of ground
handling operations at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
This study employed a quantitative method with an associative research
design. Data collection was conducted through observation, documentation, and
questionnaires administered to ground handling personnel at PT Jasa Angkasa
Semesta (JAS) and PT Gapura Angkasa. Data analysis utilized tests for normality,
homogeneity, and MANOVA.
The results of the study indicate that ULD placement has a significant effect
on the workload of ground handling personnel (partial test), with a significance
value of 0.000 < 0.05, and has a significant effect on the operational efficiency of
ground handling (partial test), with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05.
Simultaneously, the MANOVA test results also showed a significance value of 0.000
< 0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Disorganized ULD placement
disrupts the movement of Ground Support Equipment (GSE), increases the need for
manual coordination among personnel, and reduces operational efficiency.
Therefore, more optimal supervision and regulation of ULD placement are required
to support the safety and smooth operation of ground handling.
