Abstract
Bandar Udara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda merupakan bandar udara yang terletak di Kota Samarinda, Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Di terminal bandar udara ini telah tersedia fasilitas penunjang seperti kursi roda,
guiding block, toilet khusus, kursi prioritas, dan lift, serta layanan pendampingan oleh petugas bandara bagi penumpang penyandang disabilitas dan lansia. Pelayanan tersebut mencakup pendampingan sejak tiba di terminal, proses checkin, hingga proses boarding. Penyediaan fasilitas ini menghubungkan kebutuhan khusus penumpang dengan kenyamanan dalam perjalanan udara. Oleh karena itu,
tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja kendala yang dihadapi serta bagaimana strategi dalam meningkatkan pelayanan melalui analisis fasilitas
penunjang bagi penumpang penyandang disabilitas dan lansia.
Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi pustaka. Objek penelitian difokuskan pada fasilitas penunjang bagi penumpang disabilitas dan lansia di Bandar Udara Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto
Samarinda. Adapun sampel dalam penelitian ini melibatkan kepala seksi pelayanan dan kerjasama, kordinator pengelola informasi, serta petugas pengelola informasi. Hasil akhir dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan kendala pada
fasilitas penunjang dan pelayanan yang tersedia yaitu kerusakan guiding block, lift area kedatangan dinonaktifkan, standar kemiringan ramp tidak sesuai, belum tersedia tempat parkir khusus, jumlah kursi roda terbatas, dan belum semua petugas memahami bahasa isyarat. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, langkah strategi yang dapat dilakukan antara lain meningkatkan ketersediaan dan perbaikan fasilitas penunjang, memperkuat layanan petugas dengan pelatihan berkala mengenai penggunaan bahasa isyarat, serta pengawasan dan evaluasi fasilitas penunjang secara rutin. Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Samarinda Airport is an airport located in Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province. The airport terminal provides supporting facilities such as wheelchairs, guiding blocks, special toilets, priority seats, and elevators, as well as assistance services by airport staff for passengers with disabilities and the elderly. These services include assistance from arrival at the terminal, through the check-in process, to boarding. The
provision of these facilities bridges the specific needs of passengers with the comfort of air travel. Therefore, the objective of this study is to identify the challenges faced and strategies for improving services through an analysis of
supporting facilities for passengers with disabilities and the elderly.In this study, the author used qualitative methods. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review. The research focused on support facilities for passengers with disabilities and the elderly at Aji Pangeran Tumenggung Pranoto Airport in Samarinda. The sample in this study involved the head of the service and cooperation section, the information management coordinator, and information management officers.The final results of the study showed that there were obstacles in the supporting facilities and services available, namely damaged guiding blocks,
deactivated arrival area lifts, ramps that did not meet slope standards, no designated parking spaces, a limited number of wheelchairs, and not all staff understood sign language. To address these issues, strategic steps that can be taken include improving the availability and maintenance of supporting facilities, strengthening staff services through regular training on the use of sign language,
